Constructed in 1993, this deluxe cruise ship has been sailing on the Yangtze River for 16 years. It is built in Dongfeng shipyard, which is affiliated to China Changjiang National shipping Group Co.She is 87.2 meters long and 16 meters wide with a draft of 2.5 meters. Installed with engines of 2,640 h.p., she has a speed of 28 km per hour in still water. The ship was designed and decorated to win a 4-star rating based on international standards. The dark blue glass-enclosed body expresses it's interior adequately. There are 2 presidential suites, 3 deluxe suites and 78 standard cabins, with a total 162- passenger capacity. This beautiful Princess has attracted happy, high-spirited guests for a good time. She features dancing hall, swimming pool, beauty salon, satellite TV, sauna and massage, and many other amenities. Once aboard, you will find warm reception from all crews, delicious Chinese style or western style foods, pampering service, traditional shows and many other entertainment activities, not to mention that you will enjoy Three Gorges' fantastic views in a relaxed and comfortable way. Our guests on the Yangtze Princess said as following. The food on the cruise was very good, although breakfast and lunch were somewhat chaotic. In the dining room, there are many tables designed for seating 10 people each. All of them had 10 people except for ours which had 12 or 13 because we were a larger group, so elbow space was at a premium. There is no crowd control at the buffet table and everyone is told to be in the dining room at the same time. You get used to the chaos sort of. Supper (or dinner if you prefer) is a multicourse meal served to the table and shared via a lazy susan. They have a ritual one-drink policy throughout China it seems. You only get 1 drink included with the meal, whether it is a soft drink or beer, or something else. Anything else you have to pay for - a bit annoying but you get used to it sort of. As I said the food was great. Most evenings on the ship they had entertainment and it was enjoyable.
