We Chinese people call the Yangtze River, "Chang-Jiang", which means "Long River." The 6300-kilometer Yangtze River is the longest river in China and the third longest in the world.The Nile and Amazon Rivers are longer than the Yangtze River, but neither has as many people dependent on it, the Yangtze River is China's very lifeblood.

The Yangtze River are rich in agricultural products. Sites along sides of the river are home to thousands of relics and ancient architectures such as terraces and platforms, pavilions, towers, temples, and stone carvings.
