CITS Silk Road Express Train

The German-made train, which is newly refurbished by the Urumqi Railway Bureau, has 9 carriages: 2 superior-class carriages, 4 standard-class carriages, 2 dining carriages and 1 bar carriage. It is a deluxe train of newest pattern in China. Facilities of the train are:

(1) Superior-class carriage
Each carriage has 6 compartments, of which two are deluxe with a double bed, a table and chairs, a private washroom with shower bath, the other four are superior-class with two beds a public bath and a washroom. There is a public toilet on both ends of a carriage.

(2) Standard-class carriage
8 compartments per carriage, each with two berths, a table and luggage rack. There are two public toilets on both ends of a carriage, with a public bath and a washroom.
(3) Two attendants per carriage, to be at round-the-clock service for sixteen passengers.
(4) A dining car and a bar carriage. The dining car serves both Chinese and Western food, with four persons to share a table. The bar carriage serves all kinds of beverages and liquors, with a piano for passengers to play.
(5) A public bath, IDD and television.
