Mighty Yangtze is an oldest river in China. But cruising on this Majestic River for a leisure type tour had not been opened to foreign tourists until 1980s. Yangtze is a history maker as it is the very first deluxe cruise ship on inland rivers of China! She has been built and put into operation since 1983.

Though now 26-year-old ship, she still looks young as renovations have been done constantly in recent years. After an overhaul to upgrade it to a 4 star cruiser in 2001, she joined the well-known President Cruiser Lines(thereafter Yangtze has another name President Four).
She has set up quite a few China's first records, with regard to ship's design, facilities, passenger recreations and many other service "patterns"or "programs". The ship features 2 deluxe suites, 8 deluxe twins and 66 standard twins, all with central air-conditioning, satellite telephones, circuit TVs, view windows and private bathrooms. The panorama view lounge, the wide walking decks, and the beautiful sundeck, all were specially and dedicatedly designed for passengers' convenience and comfort to view the most mystical scenic sites of Three Gorges. The restaurant aboard offers a variety of classic and excellent foods from various parts of China and it still carry a reputation of excellent cuisine on Yangtze River. There is also a business center completed with satellite communication, postal, typing or printing, fax and copy services. And the public areas include dining hall, bars, inner and outer observation areas, ballroom, game room, foot massage room as well as beauty parlor, clinic and shopping center.
She first started and still keeps the "tradition" of some on-board entertainment activities such as calligraphy teaching, martial arts or"taiji" teaching, folk dance, Chinese painting presentations, lectures on China's culture and history, etc. Many other services are also provided, such as sauna and massage, beauty salon, bar service, laundry, and gift shopping.
