Yangtze River Hydrofoil

Many of Yangtze travellers will take a cruise starting from Chongqing or Yichang. These cruise ships offer excellent accommodation on-board, and great shore excursions. What if your time is limited, and you do not have 3 nights to take a cruise? Or you just want to see the Yangtze River Gorges quick?

Start from June 2009, CITS YICHANG now offers Yangtze River tour by hydrofoil, all programs start and return Yichang city. Yangtze Hydrofoil have several departures a day, it takes 2 hours 20 mins from Yichang to Badong - where cruise ship passengers take Shennong Stream excursion; or 3 hours and 20 mins from Yichang to Wushan - where you can take the side excursion to Lesser Three Gorges. The other point of attraction is Fengjie White Emperor Town - where you can enjoy the bird's eye-view of the first gorges of the Three Gorges - Qutang Gorge.

The Itinerary: Yangtze River Highlight 2 Night

Day 01: Your city - Yichang
You arrive Yichang on any day you like by train, or flight. Your driver and tour guide meet you, and take you to the best available hotel in Yichang. Our representative will recommend some restaurants and places for you to spend the rest of the day.

Day 02: Three Gorges Dam Tour - Badong or Wushan
Morning tour of Three Gorges Dam. Lunch near Three Gorges Dam.
Take the last hydrofoil leaves at 2:00 PM. You can choose Badong for Shennong Stream next day, or Wushan for Lesser Three Gorges. Stay in Badong or Wushan. Both cities are the new re-locate towns. Our guide will be with you

Day 03: Shore Excursion / Yichang
Morning tour of Lesser Three Gorges, or Shennong Stream tour.
Catch the hydrofoil back to Yichang for dinner. Depend on your schedule, you may extend stay in Yichang for one more night, or carry on to your next destination the same day.
